A collection of tapestries by Artemis are featured for the months of March and April. These abstract works are based on Homer’s epic “The Odyssey.” In the tapestries “The Resourceful Man” and “The Archer,” the hero displays his ingenuity and military skills; he resists dangers and temptations in “Scylla and Charybdis,” “The Cyclops,” “Circe” and “The Sirens;” and in “Hades,” Artemis interprets Odysseus’ visit to the realm of the dead. Rendered in luminous viscose and wonderfully textured cotton and wool, Artemis conveys the timeless story of Odysseus with clarity and poignancy.
