An eclectic selection of paintings and sculpture are on display, along with a five-piece tapestry “Scylla and Charybdis” by our featured artist for March and April, Artemis. A sweeping landscape by Jeff White, rendered in electric yellow ochre, contrasts with the vivid and energetic brushwork of Karen Silve’s abstracted cello players. The modern, simplified forms of Mark Harris’s figurative sculptures are finished in a variety of patinas. Made of a collage of surface-treated metals, Tom Anderson’s mixed media work hums with the interplay of rugged geometry and spontaneous gesture. Recent abstract paintings by Jennifer Gray are marked by fluid, luscious forms in a palette of celestial azure and earthy brown.
