Our featured artist for the month of April is celebrated Northwest landscape painter, James McGrew.  Showcased here are numerous new paintings including en plein air and studio oils depicting the beauty of the natural world.  Based on his frequent hikes to these locations, this series includes views of Mt. Hood, Columbia River gorge, Yosemite, The Grand Canyon, Oregon Coast and Mt. St. Helens.  These paintings richly reward the close attention of the viewer with an uplifting and transporting beauty.  Also on view here is a special exhibition of hand-woven tapestries by the artist Artemis.  This cycle of works depicts the story of The Odyssey through colorful, geometric abstraction.
