Frederick Hart pioneered the development of the sculptural medium of Clear Acrylic Resin, inventing the “embedment” process to best express his vision.  In these specially lit sculptures, figures seem to emerge out of light itself.  Shimmering traces and ephemeral wisps can be found within the multifaceted surfaces, which are alive with the play of light and reflection.  Influential historian Frederick Turner explains: “Light is of profound importance in Hart’s sculpture…light is traditionally symbolic of knowledge, awareness, reason.”
